Trust Your Instincts

So you've decided to change your life and become a business person leaving your 9-5 job. Before you really resign from the corporate world, make sure you're equipped with information about your business interests or the things that you like to pursue. It is easy for me to say, you know that. I'm here to tell you if your foundation is really not that strong, you'd find yourself frustrated and angry about such drastic decision you made and blame yourself and the world about it when things go wrong. It is not a pleasing scene but it happens.

To minimize the negativity of your decision, you must be willing to calculate the risks and that is a very smart thing to do. Don't be too impulsive (although a little impulse is healthy to keep you focused) about your feelings. They may come from so many different angles you're barely conscious about. For instance, you can educate yourself by reading literature of your interests, business books may really help a lot. Hang out with people with the same likes as yourself, you might find a mentor by doing that. Expand your horizons by trying out new things, you might find what you really love to do.

Fears may always be there. It is a reminder that we're still humans. Just like anyone, we get scared in taking risks. But if we educate ourselves more about our interests, unconsciously, our fears banish.

Honey, if you've been really thinking about doing business and being your own boss, I'd suggest you do it. We only get to live once and we have to make sure that we listen to the little voice inside us all the time.
